Brain Fog
Brain fog is not a clinical diagnosis in itself, but rather a commonly experienced set of symptoms that include mental fatigue, difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, slowed thinking, and a general feeling of mental cloudiness that makes it hard to think clearly or function at full capacity. While it may not always be taken as seriously as other conditions, brain fog can be genuinely debilitating — interfering with work performance, relationships, and overall quality of life. Neurologically, brain fog is associated with reduced activity and connectivity in the brain's frontal networks responsible for focus, processing speed, and executive function, as well as dysregulation in the brain's overall arousal and energy systems.
Neurofeedback can be a particularly effective tool for brain fog because it directly targets these underactive networks, training the brain to produce the alert, engaged brainwave patterns associated with clear thinking and mental sharpness — essentially helping to wake the brain back up.
